Python Job: Systems Engineer

For a long-term project at our client’s site (home office possible within Switzerland), an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for a motivated

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar position with coding and scripting skills (e.g. Shell, Perl, Python, Bash, or similar)
• Well-versed in handling message format (XML, CSV, delimited. Etc.) and in monitoring/alerting tools (Splunk, MBM)
• Practical knowledge of SQL, PLSQL as well as Linux/Unix systems commands, syntax, and tools
• Familiar with continuous integration/deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker), version control systems (Git), and building automation tools (e.g. Maven, Ant, or similar)
• Experience in Financial Messaging and SWIFT is a plus
• Communicative personality with a problem-solving attitude and the will to learn new things
• Fluent in English

• Work as a Sanction Filter engineer in a self-organizing Scrum team
• Build and maintain a highly available Sanction Screening platform
• Understand and Configure the Screening product
• Aiding in onboarding new customers to the screening platform
• Extending the Test Automation footprint in this area
• Develop helper tools and scripts and manage the deployment, maintenance, and L3 user support
• Create technical documentation of all delivered artefacts
• Work with release manager, business analysts, and software developers
• Support releases, updates, and maintenance
• Monitor and support test the infrastructure
